KASANE

Tucked away in the northeastern corner of Botswana, on the banks of the famous Chobe River, the scenic little town of Kasane rests on the doorstep of the spectacular Chobe National Park. There are no boundary fences separating the village from the park and game such as elephant and hippo are often spotted roaming around the town. If on the lookout for elusive game, pay a visit to the Sedudu Valley Road, where large dead trees provide temporary homes for leopards. Within Kasane, an ancient baobab tree stands on display, once serving as a local prison. Visitors can look forward to a multitude of activities including: enjoying a game drive through the park, taking a sunset cruise down the Chobe River, visiting a local village or jumping on a day trip to the breathtaking Victoria Falls.

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Situated in the east of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve ranks as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa. It covers more than 4871 square kilometres of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest. This diverse ecosystem supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on Botswana’s national bird list. A range of luxury lodges in the reserve offers visitors the perfect base to experience this corner of paradise.

OKAVANGO DELTA

Situated in the northwestern corner of Botswana, the Okavango Delta is a World Heritage Site as it is the largest inland delta in the world. The magnificent Okavango River sprawls out over the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert forming this flourishing waterlogged oasis featuring countless meandering waterways and crystal clear lagoons studded with water lilies, as well as fertile floodplains and reeded islands inhabited with abundant wildlife. The Okavango Delta stretches over 15000 square kilometers. Visitors can enjoy a number of wonderful activities such as game viewing, fishing, bird watching or taking an authentic guided Mokoro excursion through this wetland paradise in a traditional dugout canoe. Commonly spotted animals include: lion, rhino, leopard, giraffe, hippos, elephants, crocodiles and countless species of bird.

KALAHARI

The Kalahari is an exceptionally beautiful living desert boasting expansive semi-arid sandy savannah draped over a gently rolling inland sea of sand covering most of Botswana and large parts of Namibia and South Africa. It is also the last bastion of the San people with the modern world having enveloped all the other areas they once roamed. The endless sand dunes of the Kalahari compose the largest continuous expanse of sand on earth. Visitors can enjoy the clear night skies for a spot of stargazing, excellent game viewing, nature walks, horse riding and thrilling 4×4 adventures through this magnificent desert. Commonly spotted wildlife include water buffalo, black-maned Kalahari lion, antelope, ostrich, meerkat and countless bird species.

The lodge consists of 38 spacious luxury en-suite rooms, featuring an open plan bathroom with bath and shower, air-conditioning, TV and safe and tastefully furnished in modern-bush style design. Families can be accommodated in one of 4 large exclusive family rooms which consist of two separate bedrooms, each with its own en-suite facilities. Rooms on the ground floor offer verandas as the perfect place of relaxation - top rooms are provided with balconies and have exquisite views over the Chobe National Park.
  • The varied views of the park and the Chobe floodplains in the distance from the rooms and public areas, is one of the many reasons in making Chobe Bush Lodge your ideal vantage point in exploring this magnificent region.
  • GUNN'S CAMP | MOREMI GAME RESERVE - The flagship accommodation offered at Gunn's Camp consists of 6 fully furnished, deluxe Kenya-style Meru tents with en-suite bathrooms featuring standalone baths and outside private showers. Set on raised platforms overlooking the delta plains Gunn's Camp is ideal for honeymooners or guests looking for a more intimate and personalized safari experience. All 6 tents are discretely set within the densely treed island ensuring privacy and tranquillity. • RRA DINARE | OKAVANGO DELTA - Adjacent to Moremi Game reserve on south eastern side of the Delta, overlooking the Gomoti River and its flood plains, the camps are located in a private concession of 67,000 acres and have been designed to embrace the natural surroundings of the riverine forest.
  • The airstrip which is servicing the two camps is approximately 20min by chartered flight from Maun and 1h20min from Kasane. The camps are situated 45min game drive from the airstrip.
  • KWANDO TAU PAN CAMP | KALAHARI - Tau Pan is the first semi-permanent camp inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and offers truly incredible views from the ridge of an ancient sand dune, an unusual experience in a land as flat as Botswana. It overlooks the famous Tau Pan, a large salt pan recognized for its stark beauty and remoteness.
  • ‘Tau’ means lion in Setswana and the pan is so named for its pride of iconic black-maned Kalahari lions, who are frequent visitors to the camp as well. As well as game drives, activities at Tau Pan include day trips to the well-known Deception Valley, Sunday, Piper and Passarge Pans. A particular favourite is the bushman nature walk where visitors learn how the San used to gather food and water. The main area of the camp includes open bar, lounge and dining areas all set around the fireplace, which is the ideal spot for game viewing down to the waterhole. Star-gazing is also especially beautiful here due to the remote location of the camp, and a telescope is provided for guests’ use.
  • A sleep-out deck is available for guests who wish to spend an amazing night sleeping under the open Kalahari night sky.
